AEC Dwg scale and block inserts

  1. Using ADT2004.

I have a handy dandy toolbar with typical scales our firm uses that I can hit and change annotation scales quickly. Very simple setup. Goes like this for the 1/4" = 1' button.

    ^C^C_tilemode;1;_dimscale;48;_ltscale;48;_textsize;4.5

in the Macro box. I would like to include in the line the setting that controls the drawing scale found in the list under drawing setup (also accessed via _aecdwgsetup). This would allow me to bring in variable scale annotation symbols in the same scale I am working in at that moment by hitting my toolbar, instead of having to access _aecdwgsetup.

Does anyone know what that drawing setup scale variable is?

I'd have to open ADT at my other office to check, but have you tried
    'setvar'?

  3. scale found in the list under drawing setup ...

In a new drawing in ADT2004, in which the Drawing Setup says the scale is
1/8" = 1'-0" (ratio of 96), I went down the list provided by

    setvar ?

looking for variables with a value of 96, hoping there would be one that was
for the drawing scale. The only ones were DIMSCALE (which it displays
stupidly as 8'-0") and SORTENTS (which is a coincidental number-match having
nothing to do with the scale of the drawing). The inverse (0.0104...) isn't
    in there anywhere, either.

It must NOT be a system variable, but as to where else it could live....

(Interestingly, LTSCALE does not default to that same value -- it's 48. We
have long used a value of one QUARTER of that scale ratio, because the
"base" size of the dashes and spaces in AutoCAD linetypes is way too big. I
guess they now think it's too big, too, but not as much too big as we do.)
