I am trying to put in a dim in lisp and add text to the
auto dim. i.e. if it the distance is 2'-0" I want to be
able to add text to the 2'-0" 2'-0" Total
When I try and get the assoc 1 of the dimension all I get
is "" so when I add Total I only get Total and not the 2'-0"
how do I find the 2'-0"?

Thanks but I figured this out just add <> to the beginning of
the text you want to add.

The "<>" can even be in the middle or on another line.

If this occurs more than a couple of times in a drawing it might be easier
to create a new dimstyle with "Total" added as a suffix to the default text.
That way you don't have to edit anything, just set the dim to that style.
