Acrobat 6 and AutoCAD

  1. Is it only me or has anyone else noticed that Acrobat 6.0 displays drawings very poorly compared to Acrobat 5.0? I've used the latest version of Acrobat and set all the smoothing options on, but it seems to make no difference. I think that the ant-alias feature for line art in Acrobat 6.0 doesn't work!
Should I switch back to 5.0?

If you want to stick with 6, you could plot to dwf and then print to pdf6,
    and it should look good.

Never got Acrobat 6 to work with 2005...
The intergrated PDF button feature just didn't work...

  4. Thanks guys,
I'll just stick with 5 until Adobe fix their anti-aliasing engine!

  5. Mark,

Check out our AcroPlot Pro at www.cadzation.com which will allow you to
batch to PDF without Adobe. We even support the lines merge from AutoCAD in
our PDF files and support up to 1200 dpi resolution. Another big bonus is
that we support True Type Text conversion which 6 does not. When Cadalyst
labs published tests our PDF was <0.2 MB and Adobe's was >1.7 MB for the
    AutoCAD 2005 Willhome drawing.
