Accessing the stored Drawing preview image

    Does anyone know how to access the stored "Drawing preview image" that is in
    ACAD drawings? I have a vb app that pulls the same type of feature from a
    Solidedge draft so you can see it or do a quick print.

    I'd like to try the same for our Autocad files but am not having any luck
    finding out how to pull it. Solidedge had an OCX they make available that
    made it easy.

    David,

    Make reference to the "AutoCAD DwgThumbnail Control Module". Mine was
    located "C:\WINNT\System32\DwgTumbnail.ocx".
