Accelerator Keys for Object Snap

Our office recently upgraded to Windows XP from Windows NT and I am unable to
use the accelerator keys for object snaps I had set up for AutoCAD
2004, which worked fine before the upgrade. The way I have set them up
is by editing the acad.mnu file as follows:

    ID_OsnapEndp [SHIFT+"E"]
    ID_OsnapMidp [SHIFT+"V"]
    ID_OsnapInte [SHIFT+"X"]
    ID_OsnapCent [SHIFT+"C"]
    ID_OsnapQuad [SHIFT+"Q"]
    ID_OsnapPerp [SHIFT+"D"]
    ID_OsnapInse [SHIFT+"S"]
    ID_OsnapNear [SHIFT+"A"]

Now when I try them they don't work although when I try other
HELPSTRING commands using the same combination keystrokes the
    accelerator shortcut works
    e.g.:
    ID_ZoomExten [SHIFT+"E"] (Zoom Extents)

If anyone has any idea of why the accelerator keys don't work with
osnap commands I would greatly appreciate your help.

Did you use the option in AutoCAD to make the change? Go to any toolbar and right click - click on 'customize' at the bottom - select the 'keyboard' tab - In the 'categories box, selec 'AuotCAD commands' - Under the 'Commands' box scroll down to S and find the snap options and set your desired keystroke.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I have tried customizing the osnap keys by entering the short cut keys through AutoCAD's keyboard customization window. For some reason it does not recognize the Shift+(Letter). It does recognize the Ctrl+Alt+(Letter) key board combination except for Ctrl+Alt+"D". I prefer to use the Shift+(Letter) combination as it alot easier to coordinate, but guess I might have to live with the Ctrl+Alt+(Letter) combination.
