Hallo Tony,
I've tried to load AcadX16.arx with Appload. But my Acad tells me an
error and say goodbye. There is an error with AcRxDynamicLinker.

I've also Acad2002 and AcadX.arx, is this the problem, i think so. What
do i have to do to bring it to work?

I've had a number of reports of this, but haven't
been able to get to the bottom of it.

Is there no one who has the same problem then i?
It is not possible for me to load AcadX16.arx, everytime i try it, acad crashes.

I have AutoCad 2002 and AutoCad 2004 on my system and each is able to run AcadX15
and AcadX16 respectively with no problems! I am running Windows 2000 I don't know if
maybe your operating system could have something to do with it or not?

I don't think so, i tried it once with Win2000 and WinXP.
Is it possible that i have some problems because i use the german version of acad?

 

I sent you an update that should fix this problem.

For the benefit of others who may have also experienced
this problem, please download the updated copy of AcadX16.arx
at the URL below. The problem only appears to affect non-US
English versions of AutoCAD (or so I hope).

Now that I have it loaded, what make it work? Or must I have a previous
version of AcadX to upgrade the beta to?

 

Discard the version you have. I found a bug in the
startup code that registers the type library with
the wrong version number.

I'm working on a fix and will post it as soon as
its ready.

The beta only includes the binary. For sample programs,
you need to get the previous version, from the same page,
without the "16" in the filename.

If anyone has done the above with any version of AutoCAD and AcadX would you mind sharing the code. I have tried the example on Tony's site with 2004 and it causes AutoCAD to crash. I can not try it with an earlier version because they need to be reauthorized with Autodesk.

Nathan - This is something that was broken in the 2004 port
of AcadX. It's on the list of issues, and will be fixed in turn.
