I have just installed acad2005 and updated my hp drivers and I cannot get acad to create a plot file. It creates a 1K file. I can not plot directly to the plotter either.

I have acad 2004 installed on the same machine and using the same drivers and drawing I can create a plot file and also plot directly to the plotter.

I am using Win XP, 1GIG of ram, and have administrator rights on our system

are you plotting from model space? a2k5 and hp 1055's have issues plotting
from model space (Autodesk is "looking" at the problem and a new driver is
supposed to be on the way from HP - who knows?) - anyway, set your plotter
to process "in computer" instead of "in plotter" as a workaround (you could
even create a new pc3 file specifically for that if you like) or plot from
layouts instead ( a bit of a bummer if that's not something you normally
do). If your having the problem plotting from layouts, I haven't a clue.

check for service packs - I just installed mine for map 3d and it fixes the
hp problem along with several other things
