I've installed AutoCAD 2004 using a network deployment install that
was developed using all the defaults and have exported the default
(unnamed profile) profile. Let me just say now before going any
further that I am primarily a MicroStation (GASP) user. So if I use
the wrong terminology I apologize in advance. After editing the
default profile to include menus, blocks and other resources specific
to a project I 'save as' to a filename identifiable with the project.
when starting ACAD with the /p option pointing to this new profile
some of the paths that utilize the variable %RoamableRootFolder% are
now undefined. We do not use roaming profiles in this office. Is this
the conflict? Where is this variable defined and how does AutoCAD use
    it? I've redfined HKCU\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD
2004\R16.0\ACAD-210:409\RoamableRootFolder in the registry to no
avail. The new definition is not interpreted. I've also tried setting
an environment variable redefining RoamableRootFolder to no avail. I
can't seem to redefine this variable.
