i recently installed acad2005. However, all other users are still using acad 2004 and my program which is developed in 2004. Someone told me that during the installation process of acad 2005, i would be able to keep my acad 2004 library, which it didn't. I went to another computer with acad2004 and copied their acad 2004 library file 'acax16enu'. But if I try to load it in VBA (references), it won't do it. So this means i can't refernce anymore to the acad2004 library. What is the solution to this?

Your assumption is correct. When in VBAIDE you may only reference the
current version of the library. This is also true when developing using the
    VBIDE as well.

  3. Repair your 2005 install and go with it - and I'd shoot the "someone". As
long as you are not using anything specific to 2005, then you're project
should work fine on other's computers. If not, the you'll have to open it
on a straight 2004 box, reattach the reference and save it.
