I have some 3D solids (cylinders) that are sloping and running horizontally
representing pipes in a trench with their World Z values at 1% grade.

I need to get the invert depth of the pipe (bottom) at any arbitrary picked
location. I have found no way to snap to any geometry except for a
    construction line in the center.

Does anyone know of a way that I can find the invert elevation without
having to select the construction line?

    I've tried everything I know.

    Thanks,

    Don
