Hi, has anyone tried using the 3D solar SDK with SolidWorks. This
would be super cool if it works. I found it at http://www.3dsolar.com

I'm not understanding how to "integrate" it into the SolidWorks
software. Is it or can it be done through the API?

    Thanks.

  2. I haven't used it but I don't think it would be hard to implement it is too
bad that you have to have a special display for it to work. Do you know
what the displays are going for.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. THe site doesn't give much info. I'm
trying to find out more but haven't yet. I'll be sure to post
something if I do. If any developer sees this, i think we all would be
interested in seeing how this can be applied to CAD design. thanks.

Your website is unreadable to non-windows users.

I just visited their web page, but it is so void of information [not
even a real photo of the product in operation] that I would start to
suspect that it is not a real product.

I've tried a while back to get a pair of LCD shutter glasses to work
with Solidworks, but without success. I did get some interesting
results using the CAM2PAN shareware software. This is software
designed to use image tracking to substitute for a mouse useing your
existing USB camera. For Solidworks,I tweaked the sensitivity in both
the Solidworks program and the CAM2PAN software, including changing
the direction of movement. I enabled the orbit command, then held the
mouse button down so that as I moved my head, the viewpoint would
    change.

  6. So I guess the movie "paycheck" wasn't all that outrageous in the technology
    he was duplicating.
