Does anyone here know where I can get a 3D model of some of the more common automotive engines? (Small block V8 Ford, Chevy and or Dodge) I don't need internal details just enough detail to design a chassis and the mounting points around it. -- Chris W Bring Back the HP 15C http://hp15c.org Not getting the gifts you want? Chris, If you find them let me know. All of those old pushrod motors were designed in th 50's and 60's (pre-CAD). I'm sure the big 3 have someting they use to lay out new vehicles, but most of the manufacturing data exsists as foundary patterns and 2D drawings. Or so I've been told (been looking for awhile). There is an orginization, SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Organization) http://www.sema.org/main/semaorghome.aspx?ID=/content/SEMAorg/HomePage That has a fairly complete library of 3D data that covers allot of US and foreign engine/transmission designs. The catch is, you gotta join to get it, and you gotta qualify to join. Their membership application is pretty intimidating. Also, there are some membership fees/dues involved. Regards Mark
