Is there a way to disconnect one view in the drawing from its model and
explode (make a snapshot) into a 2D lines?

    thanks,
    Tomas

You can save the drawing as .dwg. That should solve your purpose.

    Tomas,

Window select your view, then select "Copy to DWGeditor" from the Edit
pull-down menu. Next, paste into DWGeditor, select all again, then
Ctrl C, back to SW and Ctrl V.

    Couple of notes/tips here:
    - Prior to starting the process start DWGeditor
    - Be sure to create an "empty view and activate it when pasting back
    to SW

It is a 4 Step process that Pro/E does in 1 Step, it's called
    "Snapshot".
