is there a magic button to create personal tool bars? I have been messing
with this thing all morning & getting no where. I just want create a new
toolbar & drag a few tools into it. .sounds simple doesn't it?

wondering why they changed the way it was.

    thanks,

Yes, it seems more complicated now than when you just inserted into an
..mnu or .mns file and recompiled. But time marches on.

To create a new toolbar, open the CUI dialog (Tools>Customize>Interface
or type cui at the command prompt). In the upper left pane, expand the
Partial CUI files heading. Expand the CUSTOM listing. Right-Click on
the TOOLBARS listing and click New>Toolbar from the context menu
flyout. Rename the new toolbar and drag-and-drop the commands you want
from the command list (lower left pane). You can drag them into
position to form any order of appearance you want.

Once the Toolbar is created you need to open the Workspace editor.
Scroll the upper left pane to the top. Click on the Workspace name
that you want to insert this toolbar into. If there are no Workspaces
other than "AutoCAD default", Right-Click and select New>Workspace.
After you've selected the Workspace for the Toolbar, click the
"Customize Workspace" button and go to the original pane you created
the Toobar entry in. During Workspace editing, all entries will have a
checkbox next to them. Select the checkbox next to your new Toolbar
and it will be added to the Workspace. Again, you can drag the new
Toolbar to any place in the list (it has no affect on location in your
drawing window for toolbars). Click the "Done" button and then "OK" to
    close the CUI dialog.

Your new Toolbar should show as floating in the drawing window. Move
it, dock it, whatever you like. Then go to Window>Workspace>Save
Current As and select the name of the workspace you used to load the
    Toolbar.

This process sounds complex but goes a lot faster than the
    explaination.
