I'm upgrading my companies 2002 menus to 2005. We have a large number of toolbars in our menu and host the menu on servers for everyone to access. All custom bitmaps for icons are set to 16 color depth and use only 2 colors. In 2002 the MNR file was 768kb. In 2005 the same file is 8MB. Aside from the large MNR problem, many system see a dramatic slow down of loading the toolbars on screen. Opening a single toolbar can take 10 seconds where in 2002 it would be almost instantaneous. Not all machines suffer from this problem and I have not been able to determine why some do and some don't. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
