Curious question why by CTB plot styles are not showing up as available pen
    assignments under 2005 plot/page setup?
Looking back at our 2002 based product, the opposite was going on, yet we
    kept w/ CTB's and I see that STB's in
that Plot Styles location were not displaying. Goes to show why we never
    converted to STB's.

And yes, the location pointing to the Plot Styles is correct, and copied the
CTB's from our pathing (local) to the default
2005 based location. Again, any STB's are available to utilize in
Plotting/Page Setup, yet not the CTB's.
Again, if I launch the Plot Style Mgr., launches to my path and of course
    all looks good.

Under "Options", see only "default" settings to choose, not real relevant.
Setting up initial profiles for network deployment,
and want to get these mix of CTB's and STB's together to path to our server,
yet am I missing some switch that display's
either style, or the both. Thought both types were available as long as in
the Plot Style Table Search Path.

    Thanks, in advance.

OK, I think I've just misunderstood this for TOO many years.
I just thought you could override your named (STB) styles with
Color (CTB's), yet now I see the light !

So this depends on your .dwt (template drawing) on NEW being "either"
a COLOR dependant style, or a NAMED plot style, am I correct ??

I guess thought there was a way to choose either for PLOTTING, but
now I see my error's over the years. Simply "never" noticed you could
not go from "ByColor" to "ByLayer, ByBlock, etc..."

Just always used CTB style and goes to figure why the organization of
    "named"
styles was always misleading to us.
Clearly get it, just need to explore the ideas. Or keep what we do, and
    avoid.

Simply took this new drawing as an Named and there I am. (All these years).
Wow, now "that" was a lightbulb" !!
