    We are a subscription site.

My users currently use AutoCAD 2002 and get their licenses from the flexlm license server. The flexlm license server serves licenses for other software packages.

I need to test AutoCAD 2004 & it's ability to get licenses from the flexlm license server, but my users still need to be able to use AutoCAD 2002.

Can I install the AutoCAD 2004 Network License Manager and request a new license file - but let my users keep on using AutoCAD 2002 (on the old flexlem technology)?

Will both technologies run at the same time?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Anna

  2. You can not run both license managers at the same time but the license
manager that comes with AutoCAD 2004 can serve AutoCAD 2002 licenses. You
will need to merge the 2002 and 2004 license files. See the Network
Administrator's Guide on the AutoCAD 2004 CD.
