1, The instructor passed out free copies of Broderbund's "3D Home Architect
Deluxe" at the last class. I haven't opened it yet as I am learning to use
autocad before complicating things. Good tool, or a toy?

2, I used to think that drafting accurate representations of threads was an
enjoyable part of the art of drafting, but in class we only lay a hidden
line for the max and/or min diameters of a threaded hole, and haven't drawn
a screw yet. I can't even find a hatch that represents it. Are threads a
    thing of the past?

Drawing threads 'for real' costs money and for 2D drawings is not
necessary. If a dashed line conveys the information, then that is all
    that's required.

Thanks. That's too bad. I have viewed quite a few 75-125 year old draftings
and drawings, and enjoy them more than paintings. My new wife want to
    re-decorate. Imagine that!
